The scoring processes of TOP are rigorously monitored. As a consequence, very few enquiries in the past have resulted in a change of grade.
The Rescoring Process:
1. Applicants’ score reports will be checked section by section, to see if there is a difference between the scores on their score reports and the machine-scored results.
2. Applicants’ answer sheets and answering methods are checked to see if they are in compliance with regulations.
3. Grades are recalculated manually.
If the review results in a change of grade, due to mistakes in registering or calculating, SC-TOP will recalculate applicants’ total scores and do the followings:
1.If re-marked results are higher than the original ones, SC-TOP will issue revised official score reports to applicants, along with certificates, if there are any.
2. If re-marked results are lower than the original ones, SC-TOP will issue revised official score reports to applicants, along with certificates, if there are any. However, if re-marked results turn out to reach a lower level, or even fail to reach the range of a certain level, applicants’ certificates shall be reissued or cancelled accordingly, and applicants shall not raise any objection.
There is no provision for correct answers, rechecking, copies, or the return of answer sheets. Neither should the names or other personal information about the reviewers be requested.Z
Application Deadlines: Up to 2 months after the test date. Please refer to the TOP year schedule for detailed test times. Delayed requests will not be accepted.
Fees: NT$150.
How to request for rescoring

1. Online: Fill in the application form.Download application

3. Send back your original score report: Please send back the transfer receipt, your original score report (along with the certificate, if there is any) to SC-TOP at P.O. BOX 7-400 Taipei City 10699 Taiwan.
4. We will refer to the date SC-TOP received your parcel as your application date. Thus, please give us a call for confirmation.
5. Please note that only when the above steps are followed through will the application be fully completed.
6. Applicants will be notified of the results of the score review process in 3-5 working days. We will send you the results by domestic registered mail or international express mail service.
